This is a gifted partnership with intu Chapelfield
When it comes to shopping for others, I’d like to think that I’m pretty good at it. Even for an indecisive person, I’m able to select a gift or item of clothing that I think they’ll love. Thinking back to hints they might have dropped or recent purchases in order to select the right gift.
With Sunday being Mother’s Day, intu Chapelfield challenged me to spend the morning browsing the shopping centre stores armed with a £40 gift card to see what I could treat myself to. Here lies the problem, I don’t shop well for myself. As I’m walking around I can often spot things for others, but narrowing things down to what I would like to purchase is somewhat of a challenge in itself.
Shopping with an intu Chapelfield Gift Card
Grabbing Mr Boo for a day date we headed up the city on a shopping trip mission. Whilst it’s lovely to spend a few hours with him without the children. I did have an ulterior motive… he is decisive! so I hoped that he would jolly me along when I was pondering between things to purchase. Plus he’s always a gentleman and will carry the bags!
So take a look at what I treated myself to from my shopping trip to intu Chapelfield for Mother’s Day…
Hotel Chocolat | The Chocolate Goody Bag
Given that Hotel Chocolat is located just metres away from the intu Chapelfield customer service desk where I had to collect my gift card from. It seemed only right that this would be the first store for me to check out the Mother’s Day gift selection. And I wasn’t disappointed. With a beautiful range of gifts available at a selection of price points. Enabling treating mum to a special bar or box of chocolates that much easier – especially as many of them were packaged with Mother’s Day sleeves so no additional wrapping needed.
Anyone who knows me will testify just how much of a chocoholic I am so when I spotted the chocolate goody bag I knew that this would be the perfect way to taste test a selection on Hotel Chocolat products – all conveniently packaged in a beautiful bag.
Lisa Angel | Pink *Blink* Daily Planner
Lisa Angel is one of those stores that I could spend hours exploring and discovering all the different products. Although my main reason for visiting was to take a peek at their necklaces. Ruth from Rock n Roller Baby raves about their ‘All my peas in a pod’ necklace so I was keen to see if I could spy anything for myself. And whilst they had some beautiful necklaces, including some amazing bee designs which I’ve earmarked for my friend’s birthday in June. I don’t wear jewellery on a regular basis so felt that it wouldn’t been worn as intended.
There is no denying that I am somewhat of a stationery addict. I can remember saving my pocket money as a child to purchase new notebooks, files and pens. So when I spotted their range of notebooks and planners, I was sold. The pink *blink* daily planner was perfect for me as I’m always complaining that someone stole a day or two of the week. Hopefully this will keep me organised!
The Works | Books
Having fallen back in love with reading this year, The Works is a fantastic store to ensure that my reading list doesn’t dip too low. With offers available on a whole host of different genres I was able to pick up three new books for the bargain price of £5. I did also look at their range of stationery but I’d already fallen in love with the daily planner from Lisa Angel.
(I also managed to purchase Tigger some Captain Underpants books as a reward for getting an outstanding score on his recent maths tests)
Coco | Scarves
Confession time… I’d already spent my £40 gift card, however, as I was on my way back to the car I spotted these scarves from Coco – one the boutiques in the centre walkway of the shopping centre. I’d seen similar scarves at the Ideal Home Show at the weekend with Roo but was kicking myself for not purchasing the one I liked on the day. Luckily Coco had the navy tree of life design I’d been lusting after so purchased this myself as an extra special treat.
