Would you have a skin peel treatment?

September 23, 2014

Recently I have become more aware of my appearance, from my weight, the way I dress and my looks. Now I’m not vain but I do think it is important to look after yourself. My worst nightmare would be having to leave the house with greasy unwashed hair. I do however dress for comfort rather than style, my jeans can be paired with almost anything and I can’t tell you the last time I wore a dress. My looks are something that I have never really paid much attention too, a lick of make up if I’m lucky is about my limit. I use soap and shower gel to wash my face, none of this cleanse, tone and moisturise… I simply don’t have the time or the inclination to do this everyday.

Like most people I start the New Year with ideals of how I’m going to be kinder to my body, visit the spa more often and enjoy regular facials… it doesn’t last long, probably not even as long as February before I have cancelled an appointment or switched back to my easy care routine of one lotion/potion does everything.

I’ve always suffered with dry skin on my t-junction and spots on my chin (whoever said this stops once you have gone through puberty wants a slap). My skin looks so uneven and unloved which has made me wonder whether I should treat myself to a skin peel treatment to allow my skin cells to renew and hopefully smooth out my skin tone (and if it made me look a tad younger that would be a happy bonus).

How Chemical Peel Works?

All peels work by gently rubbing the skin with a non-toxic chemical solution to remove the unwanted top layer. This encourages collagen production and cell renewal, to reveal an age-defying healthier, younger-looking you.

Would you have a skin peel treatment?

    • Probably not, because I have quite sensitive skin and I would worry about it causing a flare up – mamageek.co.uk

    • I would! I used to work as a nurse at king Edward vii and London clinic. The result is amazing. But not always suit for everyone skin – Etspeaksfromhome.co.uk

    • I think I would. I wouldn’t have invasive plastic surgery but a skin peel seems an effective treatment from what I’ve heard – www.redrosemummy.com

    • I don’t have any issues with my skin at the moment, it’s very clear although a little sensitive at times. A peel is however something I would consider in the future after investigating the process, reading reviews etc if I felt the need. It’s a maybe from me, never a no as things can change with time – www.theminimesandme.com

  • I used an at home acid peel and it was amazing!! I have got a bit more of what I used and I will be using it again. My skin looked brighter, tighter and felt so, so soft afterwards and even almost a week later there is a clear difference, In comparison with scrubs and facemasks it was superior and I have very sensitive skin and I just experienced the usual amount of redness – www.mommaofmojo.com
