The Boo Roo and Tigger Too household was recently invited to experience the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket at our local Vue cinema in the Castle Mall, Norwich. Checking the film schedule we opted to tie in the trip with Father’s Day and treat Mr Boo to a pre-screening of the new ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2‘ (just what every dad wants for Father’s Day!).
Arriving at Vue we were greeted at the serving desk where we were told about the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ and were able to make our selections. Personally I would have liked the options to have been slightly broader; the children only have the option between sweet and salted popcorn and as not all children like popcorn maybe the addition of Nacho’s or a bag of crisps might be better. With regards to the adults selection I would just prefer the addition of non-fizzy drinks added to the package, although there is water available a fruit juice or similar for me would really make the package versatile.
As we were seeing ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2‘ which I hadn’t realised was in 3D I was pleased to see that they had 3D glasses for both adults and children which meant they were easier to keep on little heads. Having never taken Roo and Tigger to a 3D film I was intrigued to see how they would get on, and was pleasantly surprised that they kept their glasses on and enjoyed the film.
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
I really quite like the idea of the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket, and it really is as simple as booking your package online or paying the extra in the cinema to upgrade and then chose your snacks. For the little ones the fact that they are getting their own snack tray is a big deal. It might not be something we would do every trip to the cinema however for that must-see film it will certainly be a treat to have the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket.
Disclosure: We received a family of four ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket FOC for the purpose of review.
