It is one of the first choices of a holiday staycation location for families and for good reason. However, while it might be a popular choice, it could be that you have visited a while ago, never been, or are regular visitors, there is still a lot to know about the Cotswolds. Cirencester
This is a buzzing market town with a lot of history and character. It is a little busier than some of the other villages in the Cotswolds, which can suit families.
Castle Combe
This is another gorgeous location in the Cotswolds that you might want to visit. Lots of picturesque streets to wander through and enjoy a slower pace of life.
There are also other places including Chipping Campden, Blockley, Stow-on-the-wold, and Tetbury.

But what about those fur babies many of us have? The Cotswolds is the ideal place to take along your dog to enjoy the holiday with the family. If you have any family lovers amongst the family then you must visit the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens. Here you will find some of the most incredible animals giving you a chance to get up close and personal. Giraffes, Rhinos, Lemurs, and more. There is so much to see and do.
Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace is an unforgettable experience. A beautiful palace in a romantic setting. There is a lot to see and do here from walking around the palace itself to the beautiful gardens and grounds.
Sudeley Castle and Gardens
Who doesn’t love a castle visit? Sudeley Castle and Gardens delivers on all fronts. The castle is an exciting place to be and the grounds are spectacular. A lovely location for a day out that the whole family will love.

Again if you love animals then this farm park is the place to be. It gives children the chance to interact with the animals as well as enjoy the adventure playground. There are usually events on and specific things to do so always a good idea to check out the website.
Where to eat in the Cotswolds
Last of all, food. It forms an important part of any holiday and the Cotswolds delivers on all fronts. Cosy pubs, top-class restaurants, family and dog-friendly establishments, it has it all. Here are a couple of highlights that are definitely worth exploring.
Muse Brasserie
This restaurant offers seasonal menus so you will likely see things change up depending on what is in season. There is a great selection of options including vegan and vegetarian options. There’s something for everyone.
Cotswold Baguettes
You can’t beat sandwiches and this place serves up baguettes with an array of fillings. Whether you love simplicity or crave all of the flavours there is a baguette to suit. A definite highlight.
Amalfi
Who doesn’t love Italian food? Some have said that this place serves up some of the best pasta dishes in the area.
The Feathered Nest Country Inn
You can’t beat a traditional country inn. Pub grub and roast dinners on a Sunday, this has to be one of the best in the Cotswolds.
