Today was just one of those days… a mixed bag of triumphs, tantrums and traumas…
Triumphs
Tigger’s potty training reached a new high with him finally pooing on the potty. Whilst I was excited and giving him lots of praise for it, Tigger was not impressed… disgusted pretty much sums up his reaction.
Tantrums
After school we popped over to the park so that Roo could go on her Micro Scooter and Tigger have a ride about on his Scuttlebug. Whilst burning off some energy they were both having a good time until Tigger decided that he would stop, burst into tears and have a meltdown. Deciding that it was time to go he continued to cry and strop all the way home.
Even when we got indoors he didn’t stop, it was then that he decided that crying wasn’t working so switched to screaming… he screamed, I screamed… not pretty.
Thankfully after some tea he decided to cheer up.
Traumas
It was just after tea, Roo and Tigger were playing and messing about on the sofa in the living when in slow motion Tigger sat up onto the arm of the sofa and just kept going. He tumbled backwards banging his head on the radiator and then the floor. I rushed to pick him up and rubbed his head better, it was then that I felt a large lump.
With a sickening feeling churning in my stomach I quickly rang our 111 service for advice, who said that I needed to take him to our local A&E department. We spent a whole 24 minutes in A&E and that includes parking the car! A quick lump check, lights shone in his eyes and advised to give Calpol.
Needless to say I will be pleased to see my bed tonight
