With the warmer weather looking like it is here to stay (oh I hope it lasts) it is time to start thinking about a spot of outdoor living. Many of us will have neglected our gardens over the winter months and they are probably looking a little worse for wear. With Aldi’s watering and maintenance range available in stores this Thursday 23rd April it seems the perfect time to spruce up the garden in time for some family BBQ’s, sunbathing and getting the paddling pool out.
Lawnmower
Let’s start with the basics, if you are lucky enough to have grass in your garden (mine is completely decked) you’ll need to invest in a good lawnmower.
The 1400W lawnmower from Aldi is just £59.99 – featuring three adjustable cutting heights, 36 litre grass collection box and an impact resistant casing, making it a great investment for gardeners looking for a mower that’s great value and made to last.
Now you just have to decide whether you are doing the mowing or you can get someone to do it for you whilst you supervise with a glass of Pimm’s.
Greenhouse
I can always remember helping my grandparents in their greenhouses when I was younger. They would grow cucumbers, tomatoes, broad beans etc. A little tradition I’d love to pass on to Roo and Tigger although I’m not particularly green fingered, so it might be a case of us learning together.
The walk-in greenhouse from Aldi is just £27.99 – perfect for gardeners wanting to start growing flowers, plants and vegetables; this walk-in greenhouse can be easily assembled in minutes and is made from strong tubular steel with a zip-up weather cover. The cover is also heavy duty and reinforced so it’s sure to survive even the wettest and windiest British summers.
Save water
With the ever-growing cost of household bills including water rates why not make the most of the rain when it comes and install a water-butt in the garden. Great for watering all your plants especially when the hose-pipe ban is put in force over the summer.
The 100L water-butt set from Aldi is just £18.99 – featuring an easy-to-use tap, this practical device fits round or square downpipes and is even made from recycled material, meaning it’s a must-have feature for any garden.
Have you started to think about your garden and a spot of outdoor living?
