Scruff Gets Clean
When Scruff gets rusty, he’s sent to the Steamworks to be painted. But how can he move rubbish trucks and stay clean?
Published by Egmont
The Scruff gets clean book is based the episode ‘Scruff’s Makeover’. The story follows Scruff who is quite at home moving trucks at the Waste Dump, it’s a really messy job but Scruff doesn’t mind. The other engines however are not so impressed by the messy engine and once the Fat Controller sees Scruffs peeling paint he sends him to the Streamworks for a new coat of paint.
Scruff starts off not likely the painting and polishing of his engine but soon loves his new look and feels like a new engine. Not waiting to damage and dirty his new paintwork he sets off around Sodor looking for other really useful jobs that he can complete. His fellow engines are not happy to give up their really useful jobs and Scruff soon finds himself back at the Waste Dump.
Will Scruff manage to stay clean? You’ll have to read the book to find out for yourself.
