Despite my concerns, last weekend I made the decisions to see whether they still had space available for her to return to preschool. Which they did and everything was arranged yesterday for her to return today. I know that this is the best choice for her, more so than her siblings who are older and able to find other ways to entertain themselves.
Piglet started her swimming lessons at the beginning of December. I smugly gloated about the fact I’d managed to get her into a session to coincide with Tigger’s lessons. She’s now had around six or seven lessons and I can see from watching at the poolside that they aren’t going well.

Feeling all kinds of anxiety about Piglet’s surgery, I managed to keep in mind the saying ‘when it’s dark look for stars’. Finding small signs and glimmers of hope when my mind was running away with itself.
Yesterday confirmed something which if I’m honest I already knew but had buried my head in the sand over. Piglet isn’t likely to get a preschool placement at our local school starting in January. Actually, I’m not convinced that she’ll get a place for next September either.
