Monthly Goals | January 2021

It’s almost time to say farewell to 2020, the year I’m sure we’ll all remember for some time. Whilst it is easy to think about the negatives from the year, it is the positives, however big or small that maybe we should be focusing on. One of the reasons I opted to record my monthly goals throughout the year. Giving me something to focus on and a little kick up the backside too.

Monthly Goals | October 2020

Given that I have been procrastinating for most of the month it’s probably a good thing that I set relatively easy goals for the month. Focusing on three different areas of my life. Spreading the probability that I would at least focus on at least one of the areas.

Monthly Goals | September 2020

Whenever I sit down to write my monthly goals post I do wonder to myself whether setting these goals is a pointless exercise. As the months’ tick by I’m more and more aware that I’m not really achieving anything. Well, obviously, I am achieving some things juts not necessarily the goals I set out in advance. I suppose in some ways I should look at this as a positive, opting to see how the month goes and take each day, mood and opportunity as it comes.

Monthly Goals | August 2020

The end of the month is in sight, with the school year now completed – albeit a very different school year than we’ve ever experienced. The children are pleased not to be completing school work from home and the dining table can finally be free of stationery, paperwork and books. It’s time to start focusing on the summer holidays and how to fill/enjoy the days ahead.

Monthly Goals | July 2020

How can it be the end of June already? I really don’t feel as though I’ve had a full month. That somewhere along the way someone flipped the calendar forward an extra week or two. Needless to say, you can guess that I’ve not achieved a great deal this month if I am complaining about the lack of available days.

Monthly Goals | June 2020

Just like when I was on maternity leave with the children finding my days filled with activities and life. Lockdown has started to feel the same, with our days filled with things around the home and enjoying hobbies. I do wonder how we will ever manage to squeeze in full days of school and work again.

Monthly Goals | April 2020

The past month certainly hasn’t turned out the way that I imagined it would, I don’t think it did for anyone. Plans, activities and general life have all been rejigged, rearranged and even postponed. Routines and schedules have gone out of the window and replaced by a new normal. Whilst this has been an upheaval, it is important that I continue to look towards the future and continue setting goals and plans.
