Dear Roo
There are times when I look at you and I think that I can’t possibly get any more proud of you. Whilst you have your moments on the whole you are a head down and get on with it type of girl – a quality that will serve you well in life.
As part of your Cub Scouts group you attended a parade and church service in the town centre for St George’s Day at the weekend. Even though the heaven’s looked like they were going to open at any moment you happily went off with your group. Proudly walking through the town before making your way to the church for a district service.
Today your Cub Scout group had arranged with the local schools that anyone who was a member of the Scouts, Brownies or cadet forces could wear their uniform to school instead of their usual school uniform. So this morning up got changed into your Cub Scout uniform, looking smart and ready for the day ahead.
With a special lunch being provided at school you opted for a cooked dinner instead of your usual packed lunch box. As I collected you this afternoon, you declared the Victoria sponge to be delicious! however it appears that the schools mashed potato isn’t quite up to you standards.
Happy St George’s Day!
Love Mummy xox
