As much as we love children’s television in our house, it isn’t often that new shows really compare to the classics. We love The Flintstones and Loony Tunes in our house and often enjoy them as a family. New ones, not so much. That is until Roo and Piglet went absolutely wild for Spirit Riding Free.
Whilst Piglet might be on the younger side of their target market, she adores watching the animals on screen. Plus the opportunity to sit down and enjoy an episode with her big sister is always a hit.
If your children are yet to watch Spirit Riding Free, you really need to get yourselves over to POP. My kids will certainly vouch for that. If you’re sold already all the episodes are available to watch now, over on POP, with new ones released at 12:30pm at weekends.
Spirit Riding Free on Pop
For young children of any age, this is Dreamworks at its finest. To imagine the plot of the story you have to time travel back to the 19th century.
Stay with us here, it’s worth it.
The main character of the show, a girl named Lucky, moves from a big city to a frontier town, where she makes friends with a wild mustang. Yep, you guessed it, that’s Spirit. Beyond befriending animals and watching that relationship blossom, Lucky enjoys adventures with her human besties, Abigail and Pru.
Each episode is heart-warming and exciting as they venture off on all kinds of quests together. Of course, it’s not always easy. Tides to turn and their bonds are tested. But if there’s ever been a programme to show children the value of friendship, Spirit Riding Free is it.
It’s gone and gotten itself a fabulous five stars from our family this summer.
The Spirit Riding Free Stable Sleepover Competition
So, as usual, there’s toys and merchandise and all that jazz to go along with Spirit Free Riding craze. What I was pleased to see though, is that there is a competition hosted on POP: The Spirit Riding Free Stable Sleepover Competition.
It’s always nice to be in with a chance of winning a family experience, so I thought I’d share. As far as I can see, three winners will stay in a converted stable with a friend and enjoy a weekend full of all things Spirit – horse riding, fun activities and crafts, treasure hunts and lots more surprises!
So exciting. If you want to check it out for yourself and be in with a chance of winning, head over to the POP competition page at https://www.popfun.co.uk/stablesleepover.
And enjoy. We love it!
