When I fell pregnant with Piglet last year we were in a house that we were already busting at the seams of so when it came to choosing a sleeping solution for her we needed something that was going to last longer than a traditional Moses basket. Whilst we knew that it would last us past the three-month mark when Roo and Tigger had to be moved from their Moses baskets and into a cot as they had outgrown it, we didn’t think that we’d still be happily using the Silver Cross Nostalgia Crib almost six months (don’t ask me how she is almost six months, I appear to have blinked and missed it).
We have recently moved house to somewhere that each of the children can have their own bedroom, including Piglet. So whilst she has settled into her bedroom, she is still enjoying the comfort from the Silver Cross Nostalgia Crib. She still has plenty of space for her to spread out and sleep comfortably. There is ample length left in the crib to give her the space to grow, she is currently only 3/4 of the way up the mattress when her feet are at the base.

Last week whilst on Facebook, one of my friends had posted a question about what baby product that had surprised them and would recommend to other expectant parents. For me, it has to be the Silver Cross Nostalgia Crib as I had no idea that we would still be comfortably using it six months later.
Piglet is still fitting in it so comfortably that we haven’t given thought out purchasing a cot for her yet, although it’s on my to-do list. I actually believe that we’ll have to move her out of the crib when she starts sitting unaided rather than because she has outgrown it. If I’m honest I think that I’ll be a little sad when she does come out of it but I’ve already told Mr Boo that I’m going to pop her teddy bears in there as it is too beautiful to be put away in storage.
