Jelly Invaders takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of jellyfish! Be mesmerised by enchanting jellyfish as they dance around, where multi-coloured lights emphasise their beauty and create a uniquely stunning experience!
Living in East Anglia we are lucky enough to have not one but two SEA LIFE Centres available to visit. SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth will always hold a special place in our hearts. Given that we have been visiting since Roo was a preschooler.
At first, we made use of the residents pass offer from the Great Yarmouth Mercury. Allowing us to purchase reduced priced annual passes for the SEA LIFE Centre. With us making the most of them and visiting at least twice a month, some times even more. We’ve even visited on Boxing Day!
Since then we have upgraded to Merlin Annual Passes, which grant us access to all of the Merlin attractions across the UK. Between the thrills and spills of theme parks and the different SEA LIFE Centres across the UK and Ireland.
SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth
Over the years we have seen SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth evolve and update the different areas throughout the attraction. Last year they unveiled the Jelly Invaders section dedicated to Jellyfish.

Jelly Invaders at SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth
Jelly invaders takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of jellyfish. Get up close to ‘moon jellyfish’ and follow the jellyfish lifecycle. The Jelly Invaders section allows you to see jellyfish in a whole new light.
Did you know that jellyfish are old that all of the ancient reptiles and scientists believe they first swam in our oceans around 500 million years ago!
What we thought of Jelly Invaders
Located close to the entrance of SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth the Jelly Invaders is in an area that was somewhat of a walkthrough to get to the penguins and the rest of the SEA LIFE Centre. However, the upgraded Jelly Invaders area has made this a much more desirable section to stop, explore and learn more about the jellyfish in our oceans.
A beautiful interactive area featuring a variety of displays and tanks both children and adults are able to to get up close to the jellyfish without worrying about getting stung. As well as learning all about the jellyfish life cycle via the mural on one of the walls.
