Kids just love playing games in the sunshine, I mean who doesn’t like getting outdoors and drinking in all that Vitamin D whilst having fun?
The trouble I have is that I only have a small back yard (decked admittedly but small all the same). Not exactly the best space to get outside and play games in the sunshine. We are lucky in other ways, we live just a 5-minute walk to the beach and we have a large park and football pitches just through the graveyard.
So this year I am determined to enjoy more picnics and fun in the sun with Roo and Tigger. I’ve been thinking about what games we can play other than football, rounders etc and stumbled upon Big Game Hunters range of outdoor games.
Who doesn’t enjoy a game of snakes and ladders? especially when you get to play your own counter and climb up the ladders and slide down the snakes. I’m thinking that this would be nice and easy to put under the pushchair and pull out at the park/beach. Could even double up as a picnic mat (as I usually forget to bring something to sit on).
I’d really love to get a Giant Jenga set too but not sure how big it would be to carry along with the pushchair and picnic etc. The Giant Jenga would be so versatile, from building a Jenga tower, fortresses, obstacle courses and even goal posts.
Do you have a big and beautiful garden that allows you to play lots of fun games in the sunshine? Or are you like me and sadly lacking in the outside space?
Would love to hear about what games you and your family play, do you stick to egg and spoons and sack races or do you get the water pistols out and see who can dodge the water?
