The past week or so has made me realise that Piglet could arrive at any time and I really need to get myself organised and make sure that things like crib is assembled, my hospital bags are packed and that arrangements are made for Roo and Tigger should I end up going into labour rather than waiting for my c-section date.
Piglet
- Is the size of a Butternut Squash
- Piglet is reacting more to people’s touch, especially knowing when Daddy has his hand on my bump and starts her off wriggling
- She is also urinating about a pint a day (yuck!)
Feeling
I’d be lying if I told that I was now experiencing my pregnancy glow. Having managed to catch my first UTI of my life it is not an experience that I’m looking to repeat – I cannot believe the amount of pain and discomfort a water infection can cause. It has truly knocked me for six.
Eating
I’m finding that eating little and often is working much better for me. I’ve had a couple of bouts of heartburn which has been a little uncomfortable but making sure that I eat regularly has kept it under control.
Appointments
I’ve had a busy couple of weeks with appointments mainly due to my water infection. I had my 34 weeks check up with my midwife this morning and she has sent another urine sample off as although my antibiotics have finished I still have some lingering kidney and bladder pain. I’m measuring big for my dates at 37 weeks instead of 34 so she has made a note for my consultant to review this when I go and see him next week. My blood pressure, Piglet’s heartbeat and movements have all been OK so fingers crossed she is happy where she is for a couple more weeks.
