I’m not quite sure when Tigger’s love for trains started. From an early age, he has loved playing with trains, watching them on the TV and of course, enjoying taking journeys on them.
As part of our role as an Orchard Toys official tester, we were recently asked to choose from a selection of their new products and as soon as I saw the Giant Railway set I knew that this would be perfect for Tigger.

The Station Expansion Set is a great addition to the Giant Railway set. Containing eight chunky railway station-themed pieces. The pieces include the railway station and platform with a section of track and two level crossings. The road behind the station and car park make the set fully compatible with both the Giant Road and Giant Railway sets.

I wish I had filmed the reaction on Tigger’s face when I unpacked these sets from the delivery box. He was so excited to get the two new sets and they couldn’t have arrived at a better time as he wasn’t feeling very well when they arrived. Rushing up to his bedroom he came back down with an arm full of his Thomas & Friends take-n-play trains to ride the rails of his new train floor puzzle pieces.
One of the great features of this set is that the track can be put together in a variety of different ways, the only limitation is your imagination. The large pieces make it easy for even little hands to build the perfect track. The four interactive pieces come complete with plastic stands which are a little fiddly to put on so might be best left to an adult.
