Fun decorations and party supplies

You want to set the stage for your New Years Eve party. You can hang up signs that say “Happy New Year!” You can buy paper goods such as paper plates, cups and a tablecloth with this theme. You can have your kids make decorations with fireworks on them.

You want the kids to get into the celebratory spirit. You can buy different types of noisemakers. They can blow in them or you can get musical instruments for them to hold. They sell tiaras and crowns that say “Happy New Year” as well.

Activities

Kids love fireworks, and you can do your own if it is legal where you live. You can buy the kids sparklers if they are old enough. You can buy firework fountains or fun-growing snakes or poppers. There are many different sets, which can celebrate New Year’s in a fitting style. Of course, make sure to take all the safety precautions with fireworks.

A New Year’s Eve craft is another fun activity for children. You can have the kids make their own New Year’s ball to drop down during the big moment. You can buy wooden sticks as well as Styrofoam balls. Have the children decorate the Styrofoam balls with craft supplies such as paints and markers. They can write out the new year. They can also use glue to add embellishments such as glitter, sequins and rhinestones. When they are done, they can stick the ball through the wooden stick, raising and lowering it.

There are many other fun crafts to make. They can decorate a hat, t-shirt or picture frame with art supplies to create a fitting keepsake for the New Year.

Why not raid the family games cupboard and pull out some family classics, or if you are looking for something new and fun to do then try the O-Deer! The Crazy Christmas Game from Wicked Uncle.

There are many television programs that celebrate New Year’s Eve such as Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest. If the kids are old enough to stay up, you can let them watch that. You can also have music and dancing.

You can also help the kids make New Year’s resolutions. You can talk about it with younger kids or have the older kids write it down and put it in a frame as a craft.

Food

You want to have some delicious food for the kids. Pizza is a good staple. One fun idea is to let the kids feel like they are at a fancy party by getting a variety of appetizers. You can get little bagel bites and pizza rolls. You will find many reasonable prices appetizer packages at places like Costco.

A New Years Eve party can be a lot of fun for kids. Plan the activities around their ages, and do not forget the most important ingredient: fun!
