Unless it has escaped your knowledge, tomorrow is Mother’s Day. The one day of their year that we should be going out of our way to celebrate our Mum’s and show them just how special they truly are. I’m working with Sizzling Pubs who has conducted a bit of research amongst mums around Mother’s Day gifts.
Nation failing to make its Mothers’ pukka Day
The research found that 47% won’t be getting the day off on Mother’s Day, a third won’t even get a lie in and one in ten won’t get a present at all.
A list of the top 30 worst Mother’s Day gifts received by British mums included: a fire extinguisher, screen wash, ants, salad dressing and toilet roll!
However, it turns out mums’ wish lists for the big day aren’t demanding: they just want to spend some time with the family, and don’t want it to break the bank. 33% simply wanted all the family together for a meal, followed by handmade gifts (17%).
A family meal together is easily organised with Sizzling Pubs and Crown Carveries, have over 420 family friendly pubs nationwide, sharing great times, quality food and value every day – Plus dine after 5 pm on Mother’s Day and your mum will receive her dessert for free.
