Take a seat
Having added a couple of furniture items to our dining room over the past year or so I have been looking for the perfect table to match. Our furniture has a cream base and wood top type pieces so we have been struggling to decide whether to get an all wood table or hold out for one to match. Whilst looking on the Marks and Spencers website I have managed to spot a table that I feel would match our furniture perfectly.
Setting the table
One of the things I love about going out for a meal is the attention to detail that you get in some restaurants, from a crisp white tablecloth and matching napkins. With a beautiful runner down the middle of the table and placements waiting for your delicious meal to be placed upon. Trying to recreate this look at home I have found some key pieces that I feel with not only make a table beautiful when used altogether but equally as beautiful if using one or two of the pieces everyday.
Eat, drink and be merry
Crockery and glassware is very much a functional item in my home, our current crockery we have had for many years and unfortunately hasn’t worn well. The prospect of replacing it alongside new glassware is an excited but daunting prospect. How do you choose the right set for your family? We have had patterned plates for as long as I can remember that I didn’t quite like something that is simple, clean and elegant. The Blaize dinner set with it’s simple black edge detailing and black bowls I think is something that will work equally as well at a family meal or if we have friends over for a lovely meal.
