Monthly Goals | November 2020

October 29, 2020

Whilst the warm, bright days of summer are beautiful, there is something wonderful about snuggling up at home away from the dark, wet and windy days of autumn. With the curtains being drawn sooner and sooner each day, and lamps switched on. I do wonder what is an acceptable time of the day to out my pyjamas back on.

How did I get on with last months goals?

Feeling a little withdrawn from the world during October I have opted to tick off priority items on my to do list before retreating to my reading corner. In fairness, it has meant that I have been quite productive as I’m eager to reward myself with another few chapters of my current book.

Halloween

Opting for a Halloween at home this year we are looking to make the most of spooky family time, a trick or treat scavenger hunt and decorating the house. We might not be welcoming trick or treaters at the door and handing out sweet treats but I hope that the children still enjoy themselves.

CV Creation

I managed to update my CV and register with a few different job sites. Whilst I haven’t heard from the majority of positions I have applied for, I can at least know that I’ve tried.

Content Planning

Although I have taken a look at some of the content sitting in my drafts folder. I can’t make a decision about what types of content I’d like to feature in the New Year. With the world around us somewhat upside down at the moment, it doesn’t feel right making these plans when everything could change with more restrictions and lockdowns. Changing my priorities and the type of content that you as readers are looking to enjoy.

Monthly goals

My plans and goals for November

As I approach November I an conscious of how busy it can be, something I am not taking into consideration when it comes to planning my monthly goals for the month.

Birthdays

All three children celebrate their birthdays in November. Poor planning on my behalf, however, coming from a family full of December birthdays I am somewhat used to the chaos of it all. Usually, we aim to do something with the children, planning a day out or evening a family holiday to Butlins. This year things will be different but hopefully just as enjoyable for them.

Making a list and checking it twice

With birthdays underway my focus shifts to Christmas and checking what gifts the children would like and creating Amazon wish lists for friends and family to see what they are hoping to find underneath the Christmas tree this year. As well as making a list of all the gifts we need to purchase for friends and family.

Christmas content calendar

Having blogged for nine years I have a whole host of different content on my site. I really need to go through all my Christmas content and add it to my content calendar for sharing on social media. Highlighting decorating tips, Christmas treats and gifts as well as the four gifting principles of Christmas.
