Monthly Goals April

Monthly Goals | April 2021

March 31, 2021

There should be a relatively big change happening in the Boo Roo and Tigger Too household in April. After being made redundant from the NHS back in 2016, I am making a return. Surprisingly to my former Trust so it will be interesting to see if things have changed over the years. With this milestone on the horizon, it’s even more important that I knuckle down and focus on my monthly goals.

How did I get on with last months goals?

For the past few months, I have fallen off the monthly goals wagon. I could offer a whole of reasons, excuses etc. as to why this has been the case. All of which means nothing if I’m not able to hold myself accountable for pushing and reaching for goals.

As my school report would say ‘must try harder!‘.

Monthly goals - goal planning

My plans and goals for April

In a vain attempt to get me back on track, I am setting some monthly goals once again. Looking forward to what is on the calendar for April I can see that it is busy with a number of changes happening. With this in mind, I’m looking to set goals relating to family life, time with the children and my working life.

Returning to the NHS

It feels like a lifetime ago since I applied and interviewed for the NHS role I’m due to start this coming month. In fact, I didn’t actually get the job, I was second best and only gained the position due to extra funding becoming available. The call at the beginning of February to see I would still be interested came somewhat out of the blue.

In just a few weeks I will be attending an induction day, gaining my ID cards and required tech ready to learn about the new dept I’ll be working in.

Home organisation

With the prospect of returning to the office and set days/working hours, I’m hoping that this will enable me to gain a schedule with all the household chores etc. Attempting to keep on top of the family laundry, cleaning and life admin. Something I used to pride myself on, however, things have slipped in recent months around my varied supermarket shifts.

A cracking Easter

All school holidays are a welcome respite to the usual mundane school runs, uniform ironing, packed lunches and homework tasks. As Roo returned to school this month I think she will be pleased for the break after the adjustment from learning at home to being back in the classroom. The Easter holidays usually allow us to head out on family adventures, planning fun for the children. Life in lockdown continuing means that we need to enjoy a cracking Easter at home.
