The past month certainly hasn’t turned out the way that I imagined it would, I don’t think it did for anyone. Plans, activities and general life have all been rejigged, rearranged and even postponed. Routines and schedules have gone out of the window and replaced by a new normal. Whilst this has been an upheaval, it is important that I continue to look towards the future and continue setting goals and plans.
How did I get on with last months goals?
My plans for March were all focused on my blog. Ensuring that things were ticking over as well as focusing on making improvements. So how did those plans go?
- SEO assessment – Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic this has been put on hold. With the children home, for the time being, I’m limited on how much of the action plan I’d be able to put into practice so opted to postpone.
- Blog branding – Another task that has been postponed. Both from a time factor but also a lack of inspiration. I really need to do some research into fonts, designs etc. to see what I like best and will fit with the style I’m aiming for.
- Instagram – love or hate? – I’d love to say that I have rediscovered a love for the platform. However, I’ve spent even less time on it over the past month. I’m trying to stay away from social media as much as I can as I’m overwhelmed by the COVID-19 news and stories.
My plans and goals for April
Homeschooling
With the children off school for an extended period of time (possibly until September). I really need to get my head around homeschooling. Whilst the schools have given us worksheets and schedules to follow. I need to look at the resources we have available and set each of the children challenges and goals each week.
Garden bucket list
Our garden is a functional space in so much as it is a lawned garden with some things for the children to play with. However, I’d really like to make it a more inviting space. As well as updating our garden storage.
Finances
The end of the financial year is just days away. This year I need to be on the ball and submit my tax return as soon as possible. As well as look at our household expenses. With my work slowing down due to the end of the financial year and the Coronavirus outbreak. Now is as good as time as any to ensure we are making savings where possible.
