If there is one toy that Tigger goes back to time and time again it has to be his trains. He has loved them since, well forever! whether he is whizzing them down a track, lining them all up or enjoying a trip on one during a family day out. So when we were sent the Melissa & Doug – Decorate your own wooden train over to help keep Tigger entertained at the end of the summer holidays I knew that this would raise a smile upon his face.

The Melissa & Doug – decorate your own wooden train is suitable for children aged 4+ years and everything they will need to paint and decorate their own train. Once the decoration is dry, the train can be assembled and enjoyed time and time again.

Tigger by large isn’t a craft lover, he’ll enjoy a spot of colouring every now and again however the Melissa & Doug – decorate your own wooden train seems to have captured his imagination and he was more than eager to open this up and start painting and decorating his own very special train.
Opening up the package we set everything out on an old towel on the floor, set up a small beaker with water in for washing out the paint brush, opened up the paints and let Tigger decide upon his colour choice. Once he had painted his train (with a little help from Mummy) we left it to dry overnight before adding on the sticker decorations and gluing on the wheels. Tigger was so proud of his finished train, his first real craft project under his belt, I wonder what will be his next one.
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
This cute little set not only kept Tigger entertained whilst he was painting it and helping me put it together, but it has been added alongside his other trains to join them as a really useful engine. As the set comes with everything needed we were able to simply open up and get on with painting the train, with Tigger opting to follow the picture of the completed train on the box. One extra thing to note about this set is that it comes complete in a blue wooden box which can be used during painting/decorating or as a little storage box.
