Apart from having some of the best museums in the world, London also has some beautiful parks, street markets and tourist attractions that are bound to keep anyone busy. In fact, it’ll be hard to find any other city in the world that has so much to do- for free!

Visit the Natural History Museum

With a crazy huge collection of over 80 million items on display, the Natural History Museum in London is definitely worth checking out. The building has a nice gothic vibe to it, and if you go there between March and November, you can also stroll through the wildlife garden that they keep open for visitors.

Check out the Science Museum

The Science Museum in London is a great visit for all those who are vacationing with their children. When you get there, don’t miss out on your chance to view some of the weirdest and yet informative attractions including the seven toed cat, a space toilet, a pregnant man etc.

Stroll Through the Borough Market

Of course, no trip is complete without exploring the Borough Market – one of the best street markets in London. This one’s open from Monday through Saturday and has a ton for food lovers in particular to explore and enjoy. You’ll be able to sample cuisine from all around the world here- and even check out some gourmet food, chocolates, bakery items and a selection of meats.

Hang Out at the Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is one of the top tourist attractions worth visiting in London. When you’re here, you can catch some interesting sights including the National Gallery, Nelson’s Column and so much more. Plus, in the vicinity, you can also gorge on some delicious food, watch popular shows and go shopping- it is a great way to spend an entire day.

Take a Walk Along the Thames

We’ve saved the best one for the last- just taking a walk along the River Thames, especially the south bank, can be a unique and dazzling experience in itself. If you just walk the length from the Westminster Bridge to the Tower Bridge, you’ll be able to view the London Eye, the Borough Market, the Oxo Tower, Southwark Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal Festival Hall and so much more.

Some areas in East London, particularly Shoreditch, is another great choice if you’re planning to explore London on a budget. Here you’ll find impressive street art and graffiti worth capturing on your phone.

Walk Around Hyde Park

Hyde Park is one of the best free parks to stroll around in the city. Why- you may ask. Well, for starters, it is one of the largest parks in London and is home to two water bodies. When you’re here in the summer months, you can catch one of the concerts or outdoor film screenings hosted here, or go boating and picnicking on the Serpentine River.
