Each month I share my #littleloves, a chance to reflect on the things that I have read, watched, heard and made. As well as highlighting what I’ve worn and any other highlights in my life. It’s not about the big things, it’s about all those small little loves that make up everyday life.
I’m always thankful for the month of November, as it is the month that has given me all three of my beautiful babies. Whilst it was never planned that they would all share the same birthday month there is something special about seeing them excited and celebrating across the month. It is, of course, somewhat hectic around school days, work shifts and family adventures but I know how blessed we are so can’t (and shouldn’t) complain.
Time for November’s #LittleLoves…
Read
A busy month celebrating birthdays, getting Christmas Gift Guides published and family life has had a knock on effect on my reading. Although I have managed to squeeze in some time for my Kindle Paperwhite, indulging in some books I’d had sitting on my reading list for a while such as the Dating Series by Monic Murphy. Holding back in festive reads until I get into December.
Watched
Sitting down to write Christmas cards as well as writing up some blog posts, I was able to finally catch up with Our Yorkshire Farm. Marvelling at how they manage to run a farm with their nine children – especially during the lockdown months. Certainly makes me miss the northern hilly landscape compared to the flatlands of Norfolk.
Heard
Happy Birthday has been the song of the month with three birthdays celebrated. Although I don’t think the older two lobed being woken up to Justin Fletcher singing happy birthday via their Amazon Echo devices – could have been worse, I could have been doing the singing. Alongside this we have had a scattering of Christmas tunes played by What The Dad Said who has started to get into the festive spirit.
Wore
The darker evenings are here alongside the drop in the temperatures. Ensuring everyone is wrapped up warm it;s been time to check on hats, scarves and gloves. As well as adding a new Joules coat for Piglet, a beautiful 3-in-1 style jacket that will see her throughout the winters and well into the next year – assuming she doesn’t have a big growth spurt.
Made
An impromptu visit to IKEA at the end of October planted the seed in my mind about re-jigging Piglet’s bedroom. Whilst I loved her children’s house bed, it did dominate her small bedroom leaving her little room to play. After checking out the Facebook Marketplace I managed to find the bed I’d seen in IKEA for a fraction of the price. Transforming her bedroom into a space that is ready for her to play with her toys and enjoy some calm time away from the chaos of her siblings.
Lastly
We kicked off the start of the festive season early this year with our first ever visit to Sandringham Norfolk. The beautiful Luminate Sandringham woodland walk through the estate was absolutely gorgeous. Spotting fairies, making wishes, toasting marshmallows and marvelling at the dazzling disco balls. I can’t believe we had never visited before – we loved it!
