Each month I share my #littleloves, a chance to reflect on the things that I have read, watched, heard and made. As well as highlighting what I’ve worn and any other highlights in my life. It’s not about the big things, it’s about all those small little loves that make up everyday life.
Spring appears to have sprung this month. The warmer and drier days enabled us to get the washing on the line, the grass cut and the garden bush trimmed. As well as completing other tasks around the house – the brighter days make me feel more energised. It’s been a month of recovering from the February half-term and planning for the upcoming Easter holidays around everyday family life.
This month’s #LittleLoves…
Read
Having a moment of indecision about what to read next on my Kindle Paperwhite I played a little roulette by swiping across my library. Finally stumbled upon the Billionaires of Manhattan series by Annika Martin, one that I had purchased a while back but only just gotten around to reading.
I’m feeling like a proud mama this month as each of the children has made their own achievements in their reading. Roo discovered the Colleen Hoover books, thanks to Tik Tok, Tigger spent some of his pocket money on a new David Baddiel book. Whilst my reluctant reader Piglet has been navigating through Reading Eggs, I can already notice a difference in both her attitude towards reading and her knowledge.
Watched
Returning to my love of period dramas, I have been making my way through my collection on Amazon Prime Video. Still annoyed that there hasn’t been a second series of Sanditon, but falling in love with the BBC adaptations of the Jane Austen novels. I need to rewatch the first Bridgeton series before the new one is released but I don’t think I’ll be able to squeeze it in this month.
Tuning into Disney+ on an evening with What The Dad Said to watch the much talked about series Pam and Tommy. Not really sure what to say about the series, a very wild relationship but pulled at my heartstrings to see the effect that media leaks like their video has on the individual.
Heard
Generally speaking, I have a few playlists that I can almost always listen to, however, this month I have found myself in a bit of a musical funk. Opting to tune into Magic FM via Amazon Music to indulge in a range of retro hits. It’s been a blast from the past, allowing me to hear songs I haven’t heard for years.
Wore
The weather for the most part has been lovely, a sign that Spring is on its way and we can hope for brighter days ahead. Not a fan of wearing coats, finding them too confining and tending to overheat in them (thank you menopause) I have loved my new Lighthouse Sweatshirts. Perfect for popping on to complete the school run, when heading out for a walk or just pottering around the garden.
Made
Tackling my to-do list has been my priority this month. Whilst I’ll never get them clear, it does feel good to cross off some of the overdue tasks. Although between completing these and the day job I feel behind on my blog tasks so I will need to knuckle down next week ahead of the Easter holidays to clear these.
Lastly
Having not seen my best friend since before Christmas, it was lovely to catch up this week for a meal. Chatting about anything and everything, putting the world to rights and giving her a birthday present (I’m actually organised enough to have it ready ahead of the date!).
