So, you’ve looked at your kitchen cupboards and feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s time for some new handles to give your kitchen cupboard a fresh look? If you think that changing cupboard handles wouldn’t have that big of an impact, trust me, it will!
Rita Koning, the interior designer, shared her views on this article in House and Garden and she has the same idea mentioning how it’s important to give hardware some thought as “even hinges come in a wide range, from nasty to beautiful.”
If you are looking to spice things up with some new kitchen hardware or if you are simply looking for some inspiration for your future home redecoration, here are my favourite interior design ironmongery trends for the upcoming season.
1. Layering old and new
As Co-Design Director, Lauren Buxbaum Gordon mentions in Elle Décor, people are “taking the design of their homes to the next level by getting comfortable with mixing and matching old and new.” So, feel free to mix contemporary ironmongery with traditional ironmongery to give your home a special and unique feel.
2. Add texture
The old days of all-white interiors are gone, nowadays any modern interior will need some different colours and textures for some visual flair. Textured door handles not only increase their grip but are highly aesthetically pleasing, I mean, how can you not want these knurled cupboard knobs in your home? These are some of the best cupboard handles I found at Ironmongery Experts.
3. Dark elegance
This article on Homes and Gardens highlights the black-everything trend and how it’s going to be everywhere “black walls, cabinetry and work surfaces are having something of a moment.” You can choose to paint your cabinets black and pick copper handles to standout or paint your cabinets any other colour and choose matte black handles, which I think are elegant, bold and perfect for any piece of furniture.
Which one is your favourite?
