I think we are all guilty of not appreciating what we have. We are guilty of being too busy, too ungrateful and always wanting more than you have.
Sometimes life makes you stop and take a look at things. Re-evaluate what you have and make you appreciate just how lucky you truly are.
I’ve always counted myself as lucky when it comes to Mr Boo. We met as teenagers, just seventeen years old and some fifteen years later we are still together. Whilst the path hasn’t always been smooth I know that I’d be lost without him.
Over the past two weeks since the birth of Piglet I have become to realise, appreciate and fall in love with him that little bit more. He has been my rock, through the times when I’m wobbling with nerves (even though he is just as nervous as me). He has helped me physically when my body has ached and is in pain. He has held my sick bowl when my body was reacting to the medication, he has held my hand whenever I needed him to and he has provided me that reassuring smile whenever I’m worrying about everything.
He has taken care of Roo and Tigger, taken over all the household chores, ran errands and ensured that I have everything I needed. He has opened up his heart and welcomed Piglet into it, ensuring that she has all the love, cuddles and attention needed. Helped with preparing bottles, ensuring nappy changes go smoothly and making sure that Piglet has enough clean clothes.
Throughout his paternity leave he has never grumbled or complained when one of us has asked something of him.
I love you Mr Boo xox
