Before I start… I am a northerner and we call our Mums, Mam and Nanny’s are Granny’s
(with that cleared up I’ll start)…
Some of my regular readers will remember that my Mam moved away late last year and this was a difficult time for us all. However it was a good thing for my Mam so I was supportive of the move (no matter how much I wanted to lock in my house and say no you can’t go).
This is my Mam with Roo the last time we went out for a meal before she headed back home to live…

My Mam has had a lot to contend with in her life and more recently with the loss of my step-father. Throughout all the sad and tough times she has always managed to keep her sense of humour, it’s what keeps her going. Being able to see the funny side of life really helps sometimes.
It is a shame that we are so far apart but I hope she knows just how loved she is from us all and that we miss her so terribly.
Mother’s day is fast approaching and I’ve started to think about finding the perfect Mothers day gifts for her. As she has recently moved I thought about getting her something special for her house. I love the idea for these apple crates, you can chose the colour and personalisation.

I’d quite like to get her something special and like this photo locket, I can get it personalised and put a photo of the grandchildren in there for her too. This way she always has a reminder of us when she is out and about.
