I’m looking for some advice…
My mum is moving away in two weeks time (not much notice I know) and I’m not sure how to explain this to Roo (Fortunately Tigger is too young to understand that Granny is moving and he won’t see her very often).
I need to explain a little so you understand the background…
I am originally a northerner and my parents moved here two years ago for a number of reasons but the main one being that my step-dad was disabled and I could help my mum look after him. However, shortly after moving my step-dad passed away so my mum has been on her own for two years and although she loves seeing her grandchildren she is lonely. This is why she is moving home (strange how I still call it home, despite leaving here for 14yrs) to be closer to her friends, siblings and my brother (who is at university).
Roo understands that her granddad died (and is living on the star watching over us) but still gets upset and misses him. I’m just so worried how she is going to take the news that her granny is moving away. Its not even a short trip in the car, 300 miles taking at least 6hrs so we can hardly just jump in the car and visit.
Any advice would be most welcomed
