This is a gifted partnership
Each week Piglet’s preschool class focus on a new book. Reading it together in class and completing an array of activities corresponding to the storyline and the characters.
The past week has seen her learn about the story of The Three Little Pigs. Enjoying learning about each of the three types of houses that they build in order to keep the wolf from getting inside (and gobbling them up!). Understanding how different materials can work better against being blown over.
can we find the three little pigs houses?
After school this week she was eager to head out and about around our estate. An opportunity to search for the three little pigs houses. It was also a great opportunity to test out her new bright and colourful Frugi Puddle Busters. Slipping on her puddle buster trousers and coat along with her wellies ready to head out searching for the houses. Although the weather was a little cold but bright, the parks and woodlands were damp from the previous rainfall. Thankfully the puddle busters would keep her warm and dry whilst we were out exploring.
Time for some Frugi fun
Grabbing her trusty Mini Micro MicroScooter we headed out for some Frugi fun. Testing the pathways, walkways and trails to see if they were scooter friendly. It wasn’t long before we found some logs that had been placed against a tree to form a little wooden den. With Piglet declaring this to be home to the second little pig.
With her soon realising that there were many brick houses around us. With her explaining that the wolf wouldn’t be able to blow them down. Pausing deep in though she suddenly exclaimed that the wolf could go down the chimney just like Santa – I do love the way her mind works.
No straw houses to be found
We walked and scooted around our estate, exploring the parks and surrounding woodlands. However, we were unable to find a staw house for the first little pig – much to her disappointment.
Dressed for an adventure
Despite being out for around an hour she was kept warm and dry whilst wearing her Frugi Puddle Busters. With the puddle buster trousers a dungaree style which helps keep them in place as well as offering an additional layer of warmth on her front and back. Elasticated cuffs and foot strap ensure that they don’t rise up whilst walking, climbing and exploring. Available in a couple of different colours, Piglet has the Sunflower yellow which is bright and cheery. With the added benefit of reflective clouds on the bottom to ensure she is seen as the light fades.
The puddle buster coat is my favourite, in a vibrant pink with different coloured origami birds. This is a tell-tale bright, bold and fun Frugi design. One that had several people look and smile at her as we journeyed around our estate looking for the three little pigs houses.
The Frugi puddle buster coat and trousers are available from the Frugi SS20 collection and available to buy from welovefrugi.com
