This week was back to reality with no snow to admire and enjoy. It’s very much been about getting back into the normal family routines with Piglet back at nursery and to-do lists to complete. I’ve been feeling a little meh since Monday evening, with a migraine waking me up this morning. I’m hoping for an early night to recharge my batteries.
This week’s #LilttleLoves…

When Frozen was first released Roo showed a little interest in it but overall wasn’t that bothered. Tigger wasn’t too fussed by it either, so now that Piglet is loving it I finally get a chance to enjoy the Frozen fever. I have to confess to throwing my heart and soul into this phase with Piglet with my heart aching when I saw in her very first Frozen costume. So when I had the opportunity to receive some Disney books, of course, I headed straight for the Frozen ones. Featuring three paperback books A Frozen Adventure, Frozen Fever, and Let It Glow. They are filled with beautiful illustrations and allow us to continue the magic of Frozen at storytime.
Watched
I’m trying something a little different under this section, listed something I have watched from different providers with the aim to justify my subscriptions…
Netflix – The BFG with the children, after searching through the DVD collection I couldn’t find this anywhere when Roo helpfully pointed out that it was currently available on Netflix. Tigger had originally requested to be the BFG for World Book Day. However, changed his mind at the last minutes to be Harry Potter.
Amazon Prime – Whilst I have been working on an evening, I have opted to rewatch The Twilight Saga films. They have been playing in the background, with quickly switching windows when I know that a good part is coming up.
Sky – Call The Midwife had me in tears this week (although it does most weeks, I was properly sobbing this week). Add to this watching Atonement after seeing it listed on Sky Cinema, I haven’t seen it in a few years but again I was left sobbing, especially the ending.
Heard
Whilst scrolling through Facebook at the weekend, one of my friends had shared a link to this music video. After hearing it for the first time I’m now hooked and pleased that I managed to find it on Spotify so I could add to my playlist.
In honour of the 50th annual CMA Awards back in 2016, the CMA Country Music Association brought together 30 most famous and award-winning superstars. To sing a mashup of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” with Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” and Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again.”
Truly beautiful!
Made
Not quite sure that this passes as made but I was kindly sent some Bloom and Wild flowers from VoucherCodes this week. As someone who usually plonks a bouquet into a vase as it comes, the letterbox flowers meant that I actually needed to arrange them myself. Thankfully they included top tips on how to do this and I’m really quite proud of my arrangement.
Wore
Piglet and I attended a blogger brunch at intu Chapelfield this week. We opted for a twinning is winning look with Piglet wearing a white/pink Bretton top from Pigeon Organics. Whilst I wore a pink/white harbour stripe top from Joules (obviously). Although I think Piglet won the cute factor as she was also wearing a Little Pancakes tutu.
Lastly
I cried happy tears this week as I was named in the Vuelio Top 10 Mum Blogs UK 2018. Surrounded by amazing bloggers and their blogs, I am incredibly honoured.
