This is a gifted partnership
For those who truly know me they will know that phots are really important to me. I love to capture my life in photographs – which is fantastic when you are a blogger as it tends to go hand in hand. However, a little while ago I was told that I wasn’t really a sentimental person, as I din’t have shelves and shelves of photos on display or nick nacks around the home.Eluding to them mentioning that I didn’t really do memories.
Not a sentimental person
To say that this took the wind out of sails would be an understatement. Of course, this person only sees a snapshot of my life. They don’t see the folders of certificates, newspaper clippings, programmes etc. that I’ve kept. They don’t see the boxes stored in the garage with memories from when Mr Boo and I started dating, our wedding and the births of our three children.
You only see a snapshot
Only a snapshot of life is on show in our home. Partly as I don’t wish to have the clutter and becoming a hoarder. Partly as I’m absolutely terrible at getting around to printing and displaying photos. Although the biggest part of this is due to not having the photographs available. Whilst Mr Boo and I take hundreds of photos whilst we are out and about with the children. We have but a handful of us a couple or the five of us all together.
Gaining that elusive family photo
Last autumn we were lucky enough to do a mini photo shoot with Beth Moseley. Something I was a little apprehensive about following a cringe-worthy experience when Roo was a toddler. However, I was blown away by how natural it felt and how she put is at ease.
Following the photoshoot we had 80 stunning photos of our little family. Something we never really had before this. Although I shared some of the photos as gifts for family at Christmas I still needed to select which ones I wanted to add to our home.
Framing memories for Mother’s Day
With Mother’s Day approaching I have finally decided which photo I’d like placed in the hallway. A beautiful photo of us standing on a little bridge playing ‘Pooh Sticks’. With such an important photo I wanted it framed correctly to ensure that it was there to greet me each time I came in the front door.
eFrame online framers offer an amazing service where you are able to see how your chosen print will look within the different frames and mounts that you are contemplating. For this special personal print, I opted for the Grey Wood Stain Frame partnered with the basic mount in iced white. Framing my print and making it the focal point that I wanted it to be.
The grey frame standing out against the magnolia walls within my hallway, whilst the mount ties in with the large table lamp and a potted plant that adorn the entrance table. The framed print now welcomes me as I come home from the school run, shopping and everyday life. Making me smile at the fun and giggles we had playing ‘Pooh Sticks’ – a wonderful treat for Mother’s Day and one that will last throughout the year.
