Fisher-Price Hungry Monster Maze {Review}

April 6, 2017

Baby and toddlers are just like sponges, soaking up everything around them. Piglet especially seems very curious about the world around her and is always looking to figure out how things work (or how she can climb on something). Looking for puzzle type toys she was recently sent the Hungry Monster Maze which allows her to explore her curiosity whilst having fun at the same time.

Who’s hungry for “feed” and fill fun? This munchin’ toy monster is! With two “feeding” slots, baby can serve up a delicious mix of colourful “snacks” & watch them roll into the monster’s “belly” & down his tail for silly sounds! “Chomp, chomp! ” His eyes even light up as he’s chowing down. And when feeding time is over, just slide the door near his tail to store the “snacks” inside.

Develops

  • Fine motor skills
  • Curiosity
  • Self-expression

Take one funky looking monster, add six coloured coins/discs and give two options for how to operate. Throw in some flashing eyes and music and you have a recipe for fun. A relatively simple concept of placing the coins either in the top or side of the monster before watching them cascade through his belly and out down his tail.

The coloured coins have a number on one side with a corresponding item on the reverse:

  1. yellow apple juice box
  2. green socks
  3. yellow keys
  4. blue pizza slices
  5. red snails
  6. purple grapes

Price and Availability

The Hungry Monster Maze is suitable for babies aged 9 months+ and priced at RRP £19.99. Check out outdoor gifts here.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s Thoughts…

What great fun the Hungry Maze Monster is, Piglet has had so much fun adding the coins in the top and bopping away to the music. She attempts to catch the coins as the slip and slide through the monster’s belly which is so funny as she can’t work out why she can’t catch them. Then suddenly they come whizz out the bottom and down the monster’s tail.

The coloured coins/discs included are educational as well as an integral part of the fun. With colours, letters, and items all that can be named and learned along the way.
