Time to share some wardrobe inspiration to help you get party ready. So if you have an upcoming date or you are just a planner and thinking about all of those festive gatherings, here is a bit of outfit inspiration to help you out.
We have all felt the struggle over the past eighteen months. Not being able to spend time with our family and friends during the height of lockdowns, right through to waiting for the go ahead for groups of more than six to be able to connect and spend time together. It has been a long slog to get to this point, but life is getting back to normal, and with that comes the chance to get out and enjoy people’s company once more.
Parties are back on, and whether that is birthdays or celebrations, or you are fast-forwarding to the upcoming festive season ahead, you might be starting to think about the fun times ahead, but, and perhaps most importantly, considering what you are going to wear. After all, it might be a while since you have dressed up and worn heels, rather than enjoying the loungewear and activewear we have all gotten used to.
Time to get party ready
But don’t worry. I thought it was the ideal time to share some wardrobe inspiration to help you get party ready. So if you have an upcoming date or you are just a planner and thinking about all of those festive gatherings, here is a bit of outfit inspiration to help you out.
You can’t go wrong with a black dress
The first thing we have to think about is the classic wardrobe staple. A black dress, be that a short and fitted number, or a long flowing maxi option, can be the ideal option for all occasions. Black is one of those easy to wear colours that suits almost anybody. It is very forgiving if you are feeling a little self-conscious about your figure. Black dresses are a great option for any occasion. You can wear them with boots and a jacket for a more casual look, or dress a black dress up in heels and accessories.
They are also a great option to think about for a festive party. Black always works well for any occasion and can be especially smart-looking if you are heading to a work Christmas party where you will be partying away with your work colleagues. You can’t go wrong with a black dress, and even if you don’t have any immediate plans to wear one, having one in your wardrobe for a “just in case” moment is always going to be advisable.
Do you want to stand out from the crowd?
Maybe you already have something in the diary that you are thinking ahead to. A special occasion, big party or celebration with friends and family. For events such as this, some people want a stand out from the crowd outfit that not only looks great but fills you with confidence. This is where a white dress could be the one. Again the colour white can be very versatile, and you can be as casual or as dressy as you want to be.
There are a great selection of white dresses online suitable for all occasions. Autumn can sometimes be kind to us with the weather, so you may find that there are lots of occasions to wear a white dress. But even at Christmas, it is a colour that works great for a festive party or teamed with other colours such as red or green.
Do you want something that can be a little more versatile?
It might be that you like the idea of something a little more versatile. A clothing staple that can be worn in many different ways for a variety of occasions. This is when investing in a pair of denim shorts could be the answer. You may think that these shorts are more appropriate for summer attire but they can work all year round. Of course, during the warmer months, they look great with sandals and a strappy top.
But during the colder months, you can wear denim shirts with tights and a glamorous top. You could have funky colours and really jazz them up. They could work especially well for a Christmas party. The great thing about a pair of denim shorts is they are also very comfortable to wear. So if you are not usually a person who likes to wear dresses then this could be a perfect alternative for you.
Final thoughts…
The truth is, we may have all neglected our wardrobes recently. After all, there was no real need for a party dress or an outfit that has the wow factor. But now that things are starting to open up and the prospect of a more joyous festive period with friends and family is on the cards, it might be time to start considering making a few Femme Luxe purchases and giving your wardrobe a clear out.
Hopefully, this has given you a little inspiration to start and find some incredible “party ready” outfits.
