We are still adjusting to life in our new home and the area around us. The house is so much bigger than what we are used to that at times it feels as though nobody else is home when they are just in other rooms. A bigger home is something that we had wanted for quite sometime so it’s a lovely problem to have, it also means that the children can each have their own space without annoying anyone else (well most of the time).
It’s still very strange having a garden that the children can enjoy. Whilst they are busy running around, playing football and building dens Mr. Boo and I are learning about what goes into garden maintenance from mowing the lawn, watering, and weeding. I can’t wait for us to make the most of it this summer although we need to find some garden furniture to sit on and maybe a playhouse for the children.
After school we are slowly taking trips around our new estate to see what is around, work out shortcuts to places and discover new areas. We managed to find another play park last week which is much bigger than the other one we have been going to. It has a large grass area around it too so big enough to enough family picnics over the summer. Roo and Tigger had fun exploring the different swings, climbing frames and slides.
As we walked home we found our local community centre which was unfortunately closed but I’m hoping to pop along during the week to see what activities they host. I believe that there is a coffee morning held each week so that might be a good time to call in and meet some of the local mums.
