The turquoise waters, breathtaking views and family friendly activities make it an ideal spot for a family vacation. There are four islands to choose from and plenty of sprawling beaches. In Lanzarote, take the kids to Timanfaya National Park to tour the centuries-old volcanoes and black sand beaches. Gran Isla has numerous water activities and sand dunes for the more adventurous. Fuerteventura and Tenerife are a little more quiet and relaxed. The largest island, Tenerife, has a zoo and other attractions more suited for kids.

Explore some of the more urban areas like Marrakesh and Rabat to experience the traditional souk markets and Moroccan cuisine.
