Easter Holidays 2014 – Day Eight

April 19, 2014

After a busy day yesterday Roo and Tigger were tired (so was I), so e decided to have a day at home and rest up. Tigger was still not right, not wanting to eat or drink and generally not knowing what to do with himself.

By mid afternoon I noticed a rattle when he breathed so contacted our local 111 service (out of hours doctors) who suggested that I came to see the on call doctor but they couldn’t fit me in until 7pm… a 4 hour wait. Deciding that the walk in centre would be busy due to the bank holiday weekend I opted to wait for the appointment although I did tell them that if his breathing got worse I was heading to A&E.

Finally getting to see the on call GP he confirmed my suspicions in that Tigger had a chest infection with the added bonus of a throat infection too. Antibiotics prescribed for a week and to continue trying to get him to drink, Calpol etc. My poor Tigger, why do you have to get so ill? We get a cold you get a chest infection etc. you always seem to get it worse than any of us.

I can’t say that we’ve achieved very much today (other than working through our DVD collection).

What have you been up to today?
