The school holiday are all about making memories. I don’t want the children to look back and remember me being too busy to play and have fun. So I’ve taken matters into my own hands and turned my out of office on my emails. They can wait until the children are in bed or once they are back at school – It’s been quite liberating.
Read
Tigger has been loving reading anything and everything at the moment. From road signs to posters. From magazines to his new Star Wars reads from Egmont. It’s lovely to see how much enjoyment he gains from reading the different stories.
Watched
Whilst the children have enjoyed watching The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings with Granny. I have been enjoying catching up with One Born Every Minute – although it does make me incredibly broody. As well Doctor Foster on Netflix, Il loved the series when it originally aired on BBC so it’s fab having it at my fingertips.
Heard
During the six-hour drive to my mum’s house at the weekend, my iPod decided to have a hissy fit and not work. So it was down to Roo to keep switching the random CDs she found in the glove box. Katy Perry was the one that we had the must fun bopping away to in the front, whilst Piglet napped and Tigger watched a movie.
Made
Each year I try to take the children to an egg hunt. However, this year I created our own egg hunt in the woodland near our house. So much fun, although I might have included one or two too many eggs (if that is even possible).
Wore
I’m not really a summer person when it comes to fashion. I much prefer to have my limbs covered as much as possible. After suffering with the heat last year I have opted to embrace it this year with a new pair of Birkenstocks to get my feet through summer.
Lastly
Living some 300 miles away from my family means that I don’t get to see them often. However, I made the drive up last weekend and it was lovely to reconnect and enjoy some time together.
