This morning Roo, Tigger and I headed off to see Aladdin the Christmas Panto showing at the Norwich Theatre Royal. As a member of Unison through my employers I was able to get tickets for the three of us at a fraction of the cost.
A coach had been provided for us all to travel together so Mr Boo kindly dropped us off at 8.45am. It seemed too early in the day to be setting out for a trip to theatre. Roo decided that we had to sit right at the back, so nce we took our seats, buckled up we were ready to go. The organisers had a extra treat for all the kiddies onboard, flashing light sabres and butterflies. Thank you, they kept Roo and Tigger quiet all the way there.
Who’s in Aladdin?
Aladdin – Tues 18th Dec 2012 – Sat 19th Jan 2013 |
On the way down to the stalls we bumped into Graham Cole, who was so lovely and friendly. I had to text my mum as she liked him back in his The Bill days. Then after a brief encounter with a jobsworth who informed us that the theatre seats weren’t open yet. She seemed so put out when I asked if I could at least leave the booster cushions on the seats as I was trying to juggle a wriggling Tigger, a changing bag and two booster cushions whilst keeping an eye on where Roo was.
Thankfully after a few minutes we were able to get in and take our seats. We had great seats, just 6 rows from the front and were able to see all the action as it unfolded.
We had an amazing time, the script was well written with something included for all ages. Panto can be a little cheesy but isn’t that the point of Panto? sit, relax, laugh and enjoy.
