What to expect from a 2 Bedroom Cruachan Original Caravan
Located on the Cruachan Caravan & Camping Park, it is in the perfect location close to Loch Tay and the local area. The caravan has access to mains electricity and calor gas and has a good mobile signal.
Open Plan Living Space
Entering the Cruachan Original Caravan via the stepped side, partially glazed front door, you enter the open-plan living space, a large dual-aspect comfortable room with a welcome mat to wipe feet and space to line up footwear underneath the central heating radiator.
Lounge
The large dual aspect room features a large corner bench-style sofa that provides a lounge seating area. The lounge includes a gas fire for use during the winter months or bad weather, and an entertainment unit houses a small TV and Freesat box. The decor has been kept light and neutral to appeal to most tastes. Small pockets of colour are coming through in the design of the curtains and accompanying cushions. No fans are included within the caravan, so you may wish to keep the entrance door open during summer months to ensure your comfort levels.
Kitchen
The Cruachan Original Caravan is a self-catering accommodation with a kitchen with family meal preparation facilities. Amble storage cupboards are stocked with pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen utensils to make mealtimes easier for guests. The kitchen comprises an under-counter fridge with a small internal freezer box, gas cooker (oven and hob), kitchen sink and microwave.
Dining Area
A corner bench-style seating booth divides the dining area from the entrance and accommodates four people. The dining table can moved as required and has two padded stools to provide additional seating. A great space to enjoy an evening meal together or battle it out on board games to see who the most competitive family member is.
Bedrooms
The Cruachan Original Caravan comprises two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a comfortable sofa bed in the living space; the accommodation provides the perfect setting for enjoying a family or group holiday.
Bedroom One – Twin
Accessed via the main hallway, the first bedroom is a twin bedroom. These are not full-size single beds and would be best suited to children and teens. The bedroom also includes a large wall mirror, wardrobe with drawers, bedside table between the beds and overbed storage cupboards and shelves,
Bedroom Two – Double
The second bedroom in the Cruachan Original Caravan hosts the main double bed. The room is small but perfectly formed, with overhead storage, two bedside tables and a vanity mirror with a shelf. A large walk-in closet is off the main bedroom at the foot of the bed. Providing a large, comfortable place to store clothes, suitcases and other items and an area to dress in. It consists of hanging rails, shelves and a drawer unit, which can be used as a bench seat.
Lounge Sofa Bed
A sofa bed is tucked away under one side, accessible by removing one of the seat pads and wooden storage lids. The sofa bed is easy to pull out and set up to accommodate four to six people in the caravan. The seat pads provide extra comfort around the bed area to avoid rolling into the breakfast bar, etc. Additional bedding is available to accommodate guests sleeping on the sofa bed, and it should be available upon booking. Still, it can be requested from guest services on the Loch Tay Highland Lodges site or via the park warden if out of hours.
Family Shower Room
The Cruachan Original Caravan does not have a separate en-suite for the main bedroom. Instead, it boasts a large family shower room with a WC, sink with vanity mirror and a full-sized walk-in shower unit—complete with shelves to store beauty products.
Patio & Outdoor Space
Patio
Outside, there is a paved patio area with a large table and chairs to accommodate up to six people. Padded seat pads are stored in the main bedroom closet. A parasol is available to use with the table and is stored under the caravan beside the patio. As well as a front garden providing you with your own private outdoor space.
Parking
One parking space is allocated with the Cruachan Original Caravan on a gravel drive. This is in front of the patio, and I would advise you to park towards the front of the space to give you additional space around the patio for children to play or for you to place the clothes airer to dry clothes in the fresh air.
