CRAFTS: How To Make… Ella the elephant finger puppet

What you need:

• 20 x 20cm piece of grey felt
• 10 x 10cm piece of pink felt
• Black felt tip pen
• Fabric glue or a needle and thread
• Scissors

Instructions:

1. Print off the template above and cut out the pieces (or trace them so that you can use the printout again)
2. Using your special templates, cut out of the felt:

• 2x Ella’s body (front and back) from the gray felt
• Her left and right elephant ears in grey felt
• Her trunk in grey felt
• The inside of her left and right ears in pink felt

3. Glue or sew the trunk to the front side of the body
4. Using the black felt tip pen, draw on two eyes
5. Turn Ella over and glue her grey ears onto each side of the body, overlapping slightly
6. Turn Ella back over and glue or sew the pink inside ears onto each outside ear
7. Glue around the side and top edges along the inside of Ella (the bit you can’t see, it lets you hide all the messy bits) leaving the bottom edge free, and stick the front to the back
