Over the weekend I decided to have a clear out of all my old clothes, whether they didn’t fit, were stained with goodness knows what (the joys of having children) or quite frankly I was sick of seeing them. I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to clothes and tend to think I’d better hold on to it as I’ll wear it again someday. My chest of drawers however, does not agree and as it was getting more and more difficult to close I needed to sort it out.
With all my old clothes and shoes bagged up I took them to one of those clothes recycling places where you get 50p per kilo. I was surprised to see that I had managed to get rid of 47kg of clothes, which didn’t make me rich but certainly eased my storage problem.
I’ve packed away the summer dresses and t-shirts, replaced with long sleeved tops and jumpers so I am now ready for whatever the autumn and winter has to throw at me. I thought I was until I popped my old faithful boots on this morning to go to the clothes recycling centre and the heel broke off. So it looks like I will now be putting my newly acquired money towards so more boots.
As a lady with larger calves it isn’t easy to find knee high boots that will fit. My old ones were Rapisardi so I’ve been looking all morning to see if I can buy the same style again. I haven’t managed to get the same style but have spotted some different styles over at Mozimo. My problem now is whether to get the wedge mid calf boots or to go with the knee high like I had before.
After my slip at the weekend and trip to A&E maybe I should be getting the wedge heel as it offers more support but the knee high do go great with leggings, jeans and dresses.
