Roo is approaching that difficult age between being a small child and a teenager, more fondly recognised as the Tween years. The Tween age makes them want to be older than they are, whilst their parents are desperately trying to slow time down and keep them interested in the toy trains or dolls that they once lived for.
Finding Christmas presents for this age group can be difficult as they are keen to grow up and live all their ‘baby’ toys behind yet aren’t older enough for many of the items that will be finding there way onto their wish lists. I’ve put together some suggestions on what to buy a Tween this Christmas…
Craft Projects for Minecraft and Pixel Art Fans
Over the past year Roo has developed a love for Minecraft, I blame Mr Boo who sits and plays it on his laptop – Roo would sit and watch him play it, ask him questions about it and often he would let her go exploring his world. Luckily for Roo, Mr Boo treated her to the Minecraft Xbox 360 version over the summer and it has been a big hit.
A new and exciting project book is here to make your Minecraft® adventure come to life. Easy-to-make craft projects fill the pages of this colourful book. Use this imaginative book to create instantly recognizable toys, jewellery, and accessories based on one of the most popular video games of all time. The iconic look of each project is sure to inspire children to become creative and develop their Minecraft® hobby in cool, hands on ways.

Time keeping
As we go through our lives we start to understand the importance of time keeping. Making sure we get up earlier enough to complete every thing we need to do before we head on out for the day. Making sure we are where we need to be at the right time etc. So this Christmas why not treat the tween in your live to the gift of time.

Worlds Apart One Direction
Music has always featured within Roo’s life, from as early as I can remember she has always loved singing along to the radio and dancing around the living room whilst watching a music channel on TV. It has only been the last year that she has really become aware of who sings the songs that she enjoys so much. Of course to Roo there is only one group that it ‘EPIC!’… One Direction.
What better way to celebrate her love of all things One Direction than with one or two Worlds Apart One Direction additions to her bedroom.
Prove you know what’s cool and make your Directioner’s dreams come true this Christmas with the ReadyRoom® One Direction Microphone Alarm Clock – They can ditch the hairbrush and sing along to the Best Song Ever.

Get lost in a book
They say that reading is becoming a dying art, and that children would rather be doing anything other than reading a book – I disagree with this, finding a book or even a series of books that they are interested in is the key to the success of getting a tween lost in a book.
Take the Harry Potter books they took the world by storm when they were first released, however they continue to be bought year after year for the next generation of Harry Potter fans. So why not treat your Tween to the story books behind the award winning films.
Price: From £3.85
