We are fast approaching the festive season (can you believe it). The malls are draped with Christmas decorations and the cheesy Christmas carols are being played proudly on the radio. As much as these elements ignite the Christmas spirit within, it also reminds us of the planning we have yet to do and the gifts we still need to buy. It’s a busy time of year as we’re still juggling the usual mummy duties of school runs, lunch making and sports matches as well as attending to work commitments – except this time the word ‘urgent’ is scribbled on every document and our bosses are breathing down our neck to ensure we understand the importance of meeting deadlines. Throwing Christmas planning into the chaotic mix is just not going to happen – right now, at least.
