Encouraging children young and old to #KeepReading

March 1, 2018

Today marks World Book Day, a day where we celebrate the authors, the illustrators, the publishers and the stories that have brought us all so many fond memories. Yesterday my children’s school celebrated Read Aloud Day, encouraging the children to pick up a book and read it aloud for a teacher, a classmate, a family member or anyone who wanted to hear a story. It was a privilege to be able to sit and enjoy stories with the children. Each finding something new within the story to focus on, a favourite character or loving the illustrations that helped bring the story to life.

World Day Book Club

World Book Day Book Club has an exhaustive selection of over 400 books, exclusive offers and money-saving packs which have been expertly chosen to inspire bookworms of all ages to keep reading on World Book Day and beyond.

All the books featured in the World Book Day Book Club have been significantly discounted with up to 70% off the RRP – and, when you shop with Scholastic, they will donate 25% worth of FREE BOOKS back to your nominated school or nursery for every order over £10. Last year, Scholastic gave over £9million in free books back to schools and they hope to contribute many more to library shelves across the UK in 2018.

As one of only a few retailers to accept World Book Day vouchers online, Scholastic offer you an array of unbeatable discounts on an unbelievable variety of titles, whilst also giving you the opportunity to simultaneously claim new books for your classmates too.
