What are your travel essentials?

I recently saw a post on Facebook where someone was asking about what essentials they cannot live without when they travel (apologies I can’t remember who this was but please shout if it was you).  So it spurred me into thinking about what my travel essentials are when I’m not travelling with the children.

Be Our Guest… Disney Beauty and the Beast doll collection

In the small provincial town of Villeneuve, Disney’s independent Belle wants more out of life than the village can offer. But when her father is taken prisoner by Disney’s monstrous Beast, she takes his place to set him free and finds herself in the midst of a mysterious enchantment, unlike anything she could ever have imagined.

Fisher-Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm

The Fisher-Price Little People range was a favourite for both Roo and Tigger.  With different sets available they allow toddlers and pre-schoolers to explore different themes of play.  The Little People Caring for Animals Farm is a great example allowing children to get hands on with a play farm.  Learning different animals, the sounds etc.  But also for enabling them to understand the needs of the animals and how they can help them.

Husqvarna Toy Walk Lawn Mower

One of the things that all of the children seem to love is helping Mr. Boo when he completes the gardening chores.  From collecting the weeds he has pulled up, holding the garden bin as he empties the grass cuttings etc. Whilst there are a number of chores they can assist with, mowing the lawn isn’t.  This doesn’t mean that they don’t want to get involved, so when we were offered the Husqvarna Toy Walk Lawn Mower to review, I knew they would be delighted.

Sleepover fun with Snuggle Sac

One of the things my children love is a sleepover.  Whether they have friends or cousins over to stay.  or whether they have been lucky enough to be invited to stay over somewhere.  They do also love the prospect of having a sleepover in each other’s bedrooms (thank goodness they have trundle beds available).  There is that element of fun when you are breaking from the usual routine.

Sleepovers can be fun for the children, yet tiring and stressful for the parents/adults.  However, I’ve been looking at ways you can make the most of sleepovers especially with the summer holidays approaching.

Unlock the Adventure with Little Tikes Trikes

Are you ready to get outdoors and explore the world around you with your little one?  This summer why not unlock the adventure with little Tikes Trikes.  Head over to The Little Tikes site and download the six mini quests.  Once downloaded you can start exploring the get outdoors with your trike.

What apps do you have on your phone?

At the grand of 10 years old, Roo has her first mobile phone.  To her, she has waited forever for it, to me, however, I am still very nervous about the prospect of her having her own mobile.  Initially, we had always said that she wouldn’t get one until she started high school as she would be travelling via public transport etc, so we’d need to be able to keep in touch with her.

Disney Pixar Cars 3 // Accessories and Activities

Hands up who is excited about the new Disney Pixar Cars 3 film released this Friday? I know we are!  It feels as though Tigger has been on the countdown for the release forever.  With the adverts appearing on the TV just heightening his anticipation for the new slice of Cars action.

Despicable Me 3

We love to visit the cinema, admittedly we don’t visit as much as we did before Piglet, although she is now starting to get to the age where we will soon be able to take her with us.  This aside, there are some films that are released that we cannot wait until it is released on DVD or Blu Ray to see – one of these films was Despicable Me 3.

Quoits // The Family Garden Game

The classic family garden game of quoits is a relatively simple concept, but one that can become fiercely competitive.  I can see the children getting in some extra practice when the other is not looking to brush up on their throwing skills.
