It’s game on this Christmas with 2K

When it comes to arranging the presents that my children, family, and friends are going find underneath the Christmas Tree.  I like to start the probing a little early.  This is for many reasons, firstly, so I can kid myself into thinking that this year I am going to be organised.  Head into December with that smugness that comes with not only purchasing Christmas gifts ahead of time but also having them wrapped up too.  Secondly, a chance to rejig the families budget in order to accommodate the presents on the wish lists. And finally, because I struggle with some people whom I buy gifts for so I need to start gaining ideas as soon as possible in the hope I will hit the nail on the head with the perfect present.

Christmas Traditions // LEGO® Advent Calendars

When it comes to counting down the advent period, I recall those advent candle wreaths that were made on Blue Peter.  The ones made from two wire coat hangers, tinsel and candles.  With each candle lit each week leading up to Christmas.  Not quite sure it would be passed by health and safety nowadays, with the combination of tinsel and naked flames.

Journey to the Night Garden this Christmas

Journey to the Night Garden this Christmas with this fantastic product range which inspires children’s imaginations and features the perfect Christmas treats for pre-schoolers and babies.

Roo, Tigger and now Piglet have all discovered and loved In The Night Garden over the past 10 years.  From the friendly characters, colourful activities and the fun adventures they enjoy together.  There is something about In The Night Garden that captures children’s hearts and minds.

PAW Patrol My Size Lookout Tower

As Piglet approaches her second birthday and Christmas, we have been looking at a range of the PAW Patrol toys available.  With the PAW Patrol vehicles and pups available separately, it allows us the option to purchase her favourites or treat her to the whole team.  Although it is the PAW Patrol My Size Lookout Tower from Spin Master is something that we have been playing with over the past few weeks (**Spoiler alert** – we love it!).

Project MC2 // Pixel Purse

The Netflix Original Series Project MC2 has been a huge hit with Roo since she discovered the first series a few years ago.  With part six recently making its way onto the Netflix scheduling she has already managed to binge watch the episodes.  Before deciding to start back at the beginning and watch all the STEAM girls adventures.

Mi-Mic Bluetooth Microphone Speaker

Whilst we all enjoy music within our family, it is Roo who really takes it to a whole new level. From the moment she could talk she has been singing along to nursery rhymes, the radio in the car and nowadays Spotify on her phone. Wanting to take her singing to the next step she has been crazing us to get her a karaoke machine. However, after looking around at karaoke machines they were all quite bulky and something that would possibly only be used a handful of times before being forgotten about.

Hasbro // Monopoly Gamer featuring Nintendo video game characters

Combining a love of board games and the classic Nintendo favourite characters, the Monopoly Gamer is the perfect addition to shake up the family game night.  Whilst the traditional Monopoly game has stood the test of time, it is great to see a modern day version.  With the fun characters from the Nintendo Mario game replacing the classic tokens, it immediately draws in the children and gamers to enjoy a game or two.

Great British Sewing Bee Sewing Studio

As a child, I can always remember my mum having her Singer sewing machine out to fix our clothes or make something new for us.  With her amazing skills, she made the first holy communion dress that my sister and I wore.  As well many Christmas and fancy dress costumes over the years.  My teachers at my primary school would often ask her to complete projects for plays, activities and such like.

Christmas Gift Guide // Logitech

There has been a shift in the types of presents that I’ve seen on the children’s, family and friends Christmas wish lists this year.  With Roo and Tigger getting older, toys do still feature to an extent, however, it is tech that has a bigger presence.  Between computer consoles, gaming accessories and ways in which they can blast out their music wherever they are.
