Contains a seven-track CD with an audio version of the story
Includes musical activities
Make your own instrument
Sing along with a cool pop song (and there’s a bonus karaoke track!)
Follow Elephant throughout the book as she learns all about loud and soft. With each page turn children get the opportunity to join in with the story. Whether it is trumpeting, stomping, jingling their feet or tip-toeing as quiet as can be.
As the book comes with an accompanying CD you can chose whether to read the story to your little ones or pop the CD on and let them follow the story along, remembering to turn the page when they hear the TOOT!
The CD comes with seven tracks:
- Theme tune
- Welcome
- Story
- Original song
- Sing Loud and Proud
- Heavenly Harmonies
- Karaoke track
Track 5 – Sing Loud and Proud gets children to tap on a table or drum to show them the difference between soft, medium and loud.
Towards the back of the book there is a ‘Make your own Jingle-Jangle Bells!’ tutorial, along children to make their own instrument and jingle-jangle their bells loudly and softly just like Elephant.
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Tigger loves animal books so he really enjoyed turning each page to discover what new animals lay ahead. It was really lovely to see Roo sit and read the book to her younger brother and for them to join along with the actions.
The both enjoyed listening to the CD included, although I hope that in future publications that they think of a better solution to hold the CD. The flap that secures the CD in the back envelope was difficult to close and after a few opens/closes it has already started to look worse for wear.
As yet we haven’t managed to make our own jingle bells (must send Mr Boo into loft to get some jingle bells from the Christmas box), but the instructions are clear and they look relatively easy to make.
