Last month Roo and I had a fabulous day out together in London, whilst I had some events that I needed to attend Roo was happy to accompany me for the day. The one thing she was looking forward to throughout the day was the planned mini tour on the BIg Bus Tours London.
Roo and I have been to London several times in the past few years and every time we see one of the tour buses pass us by she will ask if we can go on it so that we can see all the big London sights. Unfortunately she gains the same response every time ‘maybe next time darling’ – not this time though she knew that getting up early to catch an early train to London would be worth it as she was finally going on a bus tour.
The Big Bus Tours London were holding a special event which Roo and I were lucky enough to attend. Starting the evening off at Ripley’s Believe It or Not for a quick tour (we were kindly gifted tickets to return at a later date so that we can enjoy the venue at our on pace) before heading on to the highlight of the evening a mini tour around London on one of the Big Bus Tours.
The guided tours are spread over two tour routes, Classic Red Tour that comes with a live English commentary which is what we were partaking on with the lovely Phil as our tour guide for the evening and very entertaining he was too. The Big Blue Tour offers commentary in a choice of 12 languages.
Whilst on our tour Phil pointed out all the major and not so major highlights of the buildings and attractions that we were driving past. Roo especially loved the big blue cockerel that is sitting in Trafalgar Square.
A tour around London won’t be complete with seeing Big Ben…
